… here is a chance to go back to my memories … my first work… my first “out of home state” travel… my first income… and this come all of a sudden, though i had been through lots of un-materialized plans to visit back to this magnificent historical city…
2 years back i went to hyderabad… it was a work-packed day for me … could not visit many places…just had a glimpse of charminar again … people were friendly … i wish they will still be …
… and now i’m fully excited to go there again … when i was there, i did not have any camera with me, and when i started photography, i could not go there for a shoot … and this is the opportunity to fulfill both … this is the opportunity to meet my old friends whom i left there while leaving hyderabad … this is also the opportunity to meet some of my new photographer friends whom i have never met earlier…
i don’t forget the night … perhaps i won’t forget in my whole life … a night without sleep, a night full of anger … a night with lots of anxiety and solidarity … i didn’t sleep the whole night…
i still remember that nice hooked into news channel for the whole night … feeling so sad watching Taj burning… real footage were coming in from CST, Cama Hospital , Taj and Trident … it was a horrible night i guess, i was feeling so helpless … just watching the Mumbai icon burning in front of everyone’s eyes… i wished it was a nightmare …
and today, after one full year, we realized nothing had moved beyond it… we spent 23 crores of rupees to keep one terrorist alive… we just see how our neighbors still roaring … we all feel helpless… and yet, that gives us the strength, strength for unity, strength to show solidarity, strength to fight against … tolerance is not our weakness, it is the strength within…
